Subject: Amazing historic work
Subject: Amazing historic work
This is one of Jerdon's historical ornithology works. Many of the paintings were apparently made by Indian artists. Some of these were traditional experts in talc painting from Trichy who were trained to produce natural history illustrations for Jerdon. In some of the cases, the background of the paintings, branches were added by a Captain S. Best of the Madras Engineers.
